In
The Cottage of Teversham in 1850, C. H. Spurgeon, as a lad of sixteen,
preached his first sermon. Just nine years later in 1859, the year
known as the Revival years, Spurgeon was already on his way to being
known as the Prince of Preachers. He preached many sermons that year
and this book offers just four of them:
Tape 1 The Story of God's Mighty Acts The Blood of the Everlasting
Covenant.
Tape 2 The Necessity of the Spirit's Work Predestination and Calling.
The works of Spurgeon is bound to be a blessing as will be the voice
and accent of Dr. Stephen
Westcott.Dr. Stephen Westcott was born in Scarborough, Yorkshire,
England and had gained Doctor's Degrees in Philosophy (Christian Thought)
and Literature (Christian Literature) from Whitefield Theological
Seminary, Lakeland Florida. A long time student of Puritan literature,
Dr. Westcott translated John Owen's Latin writings into English for
the first time. Married with two grown sons, Dr. Westcott lives near
Bristol, England where he serves as Chair of the Doctoral Committee
of Reformation International Theological Seminary (R.I.T.S.) and is
actively engaged in Presbyterian Church planting. |
