Illness,
sickness and death come to us all sooner or later, even though some
people seem to think that when they become Christians all their troubles
will disappear. The question for Christians is how we are to face
them. Mary, Martha and Lazarus were devoted and earnest Christians when sickness and death entered their family. Starting from this biblical case study, the author draws on his own personal experience and that of great men of God in the past to show how we can find rest and encouragement in God even in times of great personal stress. Peter Jeffery , minister and author, ministered at Cwmbran in Wales, and Rugby in England before taking up his present pastorate at Sandfields, Port Talbot, Wales. He is married with three children and three grandchildren. |
