True Vine

The
parable of the True Vine is a perfect picture of the relationship
which must exist between the Vine (Jesus) and the branches (the saints)
in order to enter into discipleship. The branches have nothing to
do but receive the sap from the Vine in order to produce the fruit
that the Husbandman (the Father in heaven) desires and intends to
produce. But receiving from the Vine requires the 'waiting on God' to work His work in the soul, enabling the branches to be the instrument of producing much fruit. Waiting on God to work, obeying all that He tells us to do, is the only ground on which true disciples can be produced. Andrew Murray, once again, has brought his usual clarity to this life changing parable, to those who hear and obey. |
