There is a Gospel truth, which I believe, is given very little thought to. And yet it's profoundness thrills the heart. As we wage the battle against 'self', our minds are filled with ourselves and our concerns, keeping our vision narrow.

The profound truth I speak of is found in Revelation 5:9b. "......... for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." When we think that the God of our salvation has also chosen some out of every clime (region,country), it expands our thoughts, and thus our awareness of the vast Body of Christ, Christ's Church upon earth. It causes us to desire to prayer for those whom we will, no doubt, never meet this side of glory..our brothers and sisters, none the less, beloved of the Lord.

This book, THE NATIONS, hopefully will bring this uplifting reality to our minds, by having people from the various regions, reading on tape, books written by the writers of their own country....i.e. an Englishman reading the works of an English writer, a Cornish man of a Cornish writer, a Dutch reader of a Dutch writer, etc. The writers and titles of the books, read, for the most part are well known and will, I hope, prove to be a blessing.
